Hello players!
The Battlegrounds have always been shaped by you, and now it's time to build them. With the August Update, we're opening the PUBG: Playgrounds, a brand-new home inside the PUBG Play menu where players can discover and play curated community-created modes.
To celebrate the launch, we're teaming up with CurseForge for the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS UGC Contest — a global open contest with an $95,000 USD prize pool, where the best community creations will be officially added to PUBG: Playgrounds.
Whether you're a seasoned modder or building your very first mode, this is your invitation to create the next Battleground.
PUBG: Playgrounds is a dedicated entry point in the PUBG Play menu that surfaces player-created modes as their own experience: discover a mode, jump in, get inspired, and start building your own. And through the PUBG x CurseForge UGC Contest, we want to feature your very best creations for the world to play.
Submit your UGC mode across one of three categories. You can enter more than once, so feel free to submit multiple modes across different categories. We're looking for a wide range of creativity, so bring your best ideas in whichever styles suit them.
| Category | What it's about | Examples |
|---|---|---|
Combat Modes | Create UGC mode focused on player-vs-player action, where combat skill, weapon proficiency, and competition are at the core. This can include experiences such as team deathmatch, gun game, sniper battles, aim challenges, 1v1 arenas, or other UGC experiences built around gunplay and tactical engagements. | TDM, Gun Game, Sniper, Aim Challenge, 1v1, Training |
Survival Modes | Build UGC modes centered around surviving against NPC enemies or environmental challenges. This can include wave defense, PvE missions, co-op defense, objective-based encounters, or other UGC experiences where players must work together, hold out, protect an area, or complete PvE goals. | Wave Defense, PvE Mission, Co-op Defense, Objective-based PvE |
Creative Modes | Design non-combat or low-combat UGC modes where movement, rules, objectives, and creative gameplay matter more than gunplay. This can include parkour, racing, party modes, puzzles, sandbox experiences, or other minigame-style UGC creations that offer a different way to play PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. | Parkour, Racing, Party, Puzzle, Sandbox |

Make sure your submission meets the entry guidelines and terms.
Please note: The PUBG in-game nickname entered on the contest entry form must match the account used to create the mode. Submissions that use someone else's work, or whose details don't match, will be disqualified immediately. Sponsor or promotional content placed inside the UGC mode is also not allowed, so please keep your creations clean.
In addition to the cash prizes, all 30 winning modes from the three main categories — Combat, Survival, and Creative — are planned to be officially added to PUBG: Playgrounds. Each of the three categories has its own $25,000 prize pool, and all 30 winning modes are planned to remain available on PUBG: Playgrounds.
The three category winners, 1st place in each category, will be featured throughout the campaign period. Each month, a curated selection of 9 modes will also be featured, while the full winning mode library remains accessible.
Please note that the service plan may change in the future at the developers’ discretion.

A few key rules to keep the contest fair for everyone:
Create it yourself. You must build your mode using your own account, and enter that account's PUBG in-game nickname (and platform) on the entry form. If the owner of the submitted mode doesn't match the nickname you provide, the entry won't be eligible to win.
Original work only. Copied or duplicated modes are not allowed and will be disqualified. Entries should be your own creations and should not closely replicate other games.
Keep it clean. Modes that include sponsor or promotional content inside the world cannot be added to PUBG: Playgrounds. If such content appears in a mode's in-game description, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS reserves the right to remove it
Winning modes in PUBG: Playgrounds. All 30 winning modes will be added to PUBG: Playgrounds and remain available for players to enjoy. The three 1st-place winners, one from each category, will be pinned in the UGC Contest Featured section throughout the event period. In addition, a total of 9 winning modes will be selected each month to be featured, while the full library of winning modes will remain accessible. The registration and exposure of winning modes will be managed in accordance with PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS’ operational standards, and the service plan may be subject to change depending on development and operational circumstances.
